President Xi Jinping opened the 20th Party Congress today with a speech half as long as 2017. That threw a few China watchers. What did he say? Hong Kong has gone from chaos to order. Taiwan too can join the One Country Two Systems if they like, if they are ruled by patriots (seems unlikely). Doesn’t rule out military intervention to make it happen.
