• The man arrested for running out on an $84k dining bill has form; he was previously convicted in 2023 for using deceptive tactics to meet women online and coerce them into non-consensual sexual acts.
Via The Standard: Posing as a fictional acquaintance of his own false persona, he lured two women to hotels where he threatened them into compliance. Wong was sentenced to two years and nine months in prison for these crimes, which occurred when he was 19 years old and serving as a community outreach officer for a political party in Kwan Po.
• The family of a patient who died during surgery at TKO Hospital that led to the arrests of two surgeons for allegedly leaking patient data says the hospital lied to them.
One family member, speaking to local media, acknowledged that the doctors involved in the leak may have broken then law, but is personally grateful to them.
"They helped me understand that things are not so simple, that there might really be a cover-up, and it gave me the courage to investigate.”
He questioned why a doctor would resort to anonymous leaks instead of using internal reporting channels, suggesting serious flaws in the hospital's system.

• On Monday rumours that New World chairman Henry Cheng was going to inject $10 billion of his own money into the company gave the stock price a nice 5% boost.
By 11pm the company had filed a notice to the HKEX saying the rumours were not true, so by Tuesday all that gain had been erased.
