3. A new spat between the HK government and the US Consulate has begun after the Education Bureau allegedly warned schools about participating in July 4th celebrations.
Via SCMP: This comes after it was reported that schools had recently received “friendly reminders” from the Education Bureau’s regional offices, warning that students taking part in Independence Day events might be at risk of violating national security laws.
4. As mentioned yesterday, the fear of a Japan “mega quake” by Hong Kongers is evident not only in airline passenger loads, but in the number of arrivals into Japan.
In May only one market was down, and it was down by a whopping 11.2%.
