New boss at MTR Corp.
New fees at ImmiD for lots of things.
Hong Kong still most expensive city to buy an apartment; and rents are going up.
All this and the rest of Thursday’s news that matters 👇
1. On Wednesday afternoon MTR Corp announced their new CEO starting in 2026; Jeny Yeung.
Then around half a day later, MTR announced yet another signal fault during peak hour.
Jeny might want to get those signal faults sorted when she takes the reins.
2. According to data from Deutsche Bank, HK continues to be the most expensive place on the planet, even as prices continue drop.
On that second chart, I don’t think Hong Kong is going to stay in 7th place for too long. New research from Knight Frank expects rental prices in the city to increase by another 3-5% this year.

CR7 is still a big winker.
