1. “Lying flat” has become a buzzword on the mainland over the past few years, and now it’s hitting Hong Kong teens.
The English term is the literal translation of 躺平, but means to reject the pressures of society to overwork and overachieve. A new survey found up to half of secondary students are either currently or planning to lie flat.
