• The parents of the high schooler embroiled in the AI app controversy have issued a “sorry not sorry” apology over the saga, promising to return all the prizes the app has won.
They’re the victims here, ok?
• MTR Corp is investigating after reports its main contractor on the new Tung Chung East project used mainland tiles rather than the German ones specified in the contract.
• The government says the government doesn’t need an independent investigation into the water bottle scandal because the government will investigate it.

• After 16 years of trading as 3333 on the HK Stock Exchange, Evergrande has left the building.
• Cathay Pacific had a good July, even if HK Express’ load factor was down.

• Coleman Wong’s rise on the professional tennis circuit continues, becoming the first Hong Konger to reach the US Open.
Wong becomes the third person from Hong Kong to make a Grand Slam.
